Capture Noire’s mission is to create melanin-friendly photography tools tailored for the natural pigments found in diverse skin tones. They approached us to develop the Android app for their MVP, aiming to present it to investors. We successfully developed a native iOS photo and video editing application, securing further investor funding. Additionally, we took on the design and development of the next iteration for both iOS and Android, collaborating closely with the product/design team, overseeing the Android project, and mentoring a junior Android engineer. We also developed a Firebase backend shared by both projects.
CaptureNoire‘s challenge
Capture Noire, dedicated to creating melanin-friendly photography tools, needed to develop an Android app for their MVP to present to investors. Their goal was to address the lack of commercial photography tools that accurately capture the natural pigments found in diverse skin tones.
CaptureNoire‘s solution
We developed a native iOS photo and video editing application, which successfully secured further investor funding. In addition, we undertook the design and development of the next iteration for both iOS and Android platforms. Our team collaborated with Capture Noire’s product/design team to bring their vision to life, oversaw the Android project, and mentored a junior Android engineer. We also created a Firebase backend to support both projects.
